Each curated experience is a hybrid between an elopement and a pop-up wedding. You may have heard those terms before, but we think this is making the best of both worlds!
In an elopement, usually the couple gets married by themselves. Well, we thought you might like to have some of your family + friends around - so up to 10 people can be in attendance at your event! And like a pop-up wedding, you are getting an awesome experience at venues that don't usually hold small events like this, with several couple getting married on the same day at different times. This allows your vendor team to bring you the level of service they are known for, without the higher pricetag that comes with larger events or a more traditional 'micro-wedding', which is just in essence a wedding under 50 people.

Is this a micro-wedding? An elopement? What do we tell our guests?.
Each curated experience includes 2 hours at your venue, expert event planning, 2 hours of photography including a final edited gallery, personal flowers for the couple consisting of bouquets, boutonnieres or a combo of the two, a mini wedding cake for the couple to cut, a champagne toast for all guests, and a confidential marriage license delivered to the wedding.
Your 2 hours on site will consist of a 15-30min ceremony, 20-30min cake cutting and champagne toast followed by a portrait session for the couple and also guests if so desired. While how your time is spent is ultimately up to you and your planner, we suggest the above format as a guide.
Nope! Your 2 hour venue time is yours and yours alone! Although we will have several weddings taking place on most of the scheduled dates, know that they are spaced out to allow for proper cleaning in between each experience and so that you never have to share the space with other couples and their guests.
Not at this time. Each curated experience was developed by the Los Angeles Small Wedding Collective planners to involve the absolute perfect vendor team to execute the vision for that experience. They are also taking care of all scheduling, pricing, etc. behind the scenes (so you don't have to worry about it!), and part of making sure everything comes together seamlessly is to keep the experience teams intact.

What exactly is included?
Do we get married with other people?
Can I substitute a vendor in one package for one in another?
What about the timeframe? What happens in that 2 hours?
Right now with so much uncertainty and guidelines for getting a marriage license changing all the time, we knew the most important thing was making sure your wedding with the Los Angeles Small Wedding Collective is absolutely legal.
To do this, we have partnered with Great Officiants, who are one of the few officiant service providers working in Los Angeles County still able to procure confidential marriage licenses and issue them at your wedding as part of each curated expereince. You can read more about this HERE on their website. This way, there is no waiting in line, no making an appointment that might get canceled, just one marriage license delivered to you hassle-free!

It says a marriage license is included - is that legal? Don't we have to go to the courthouse or something?
Yes, all of the weddings done by the Los Angeles Small Weddings Collective will follow all current and announced federal, state and local guidelines and restrictions for gatherings. This is one of the reasons we have come together and decided on these particular experience offerings, to have your wedding the safest way possible.
With a smaller, private event there will not be a mask requirement for the couple or guests. Please note however, out of an abundance of caution, the vendors present at your wedding will wear masks. This is for the protection of you and your guests.
Absolutely. We have partnered with the venues to ensure thorough cleanings before each event date, and in between each experience package. More information on the cleaning standards and practices of each venue is available upon request.
Not at this time. We are capping these experiences at 10 people (the couple + 8 guests) in order to align with what we think may be the smallest gathering allowance to ensure these weddings can take place. Additionally, the 10 person max is needed to maintain the cleaning standards and pricepoint associated with our experiences.

Will this follow all the current guidelines for gatherings?
Is everything going to be cleaned?
Can we have more than 10 people?
Will our guests need to wear masks? What about us?
For the foreseeable future, we are asking guests not to bring any decor that requires set up or vendor assistance. For the health and safety of all couples, guests and vendors, all client decor must be handheld, set up by the couple, and taken with you when you leave. A good example of these would be a card box, guestbook or heirloom cake cutting set. Additional rentals, flowers and/or decor are always available as add-ons.
Each photographer will have their turnaround time outlined in their contracts. Clients will be contracting directly with the photographer for that part of the experience to ensure a direct line of access for receiving and accessing the final photo gallery. Typically this timeframe is between 4-8 weeks. Additional photo services such as albums, prints and canvases are available.
While we kept our curated experiences streamlined to decrease stress and provide the most value, we know you may want just a bit more - we've got you! Please see our preferred vendors for services such as videography, DJing, live streaming, officiating, hair + makeup, live music HERE.
